Kristine Hermosa Orille (born September 9, 1983 in Quezon City, Philippines) is a Filipina actress. She is born to a Filipino father and a Spanish mestiza mother. She has an older sister named Kathleen, who was the one eager to audition to be a star on ABS-CBN. However, her sister failed to impress the judges on the first screening. It was reluctant younger sister Kristine who was suggested to audition mainly due to her height and beauty. Thought to be just another pretty-faced teenage actress, Kristine rose to fame in the TV series "Pangako Sa 'Yo", which made famous her love team partnership with Jericho Rosales, who later became her real-life boyfriend.Years before her fame, Kristine started out as Baron Geisler's loveteam partner in Nagbibinata. Later on, she was cast in the heavy drama "Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako", a weekly series together with Marvin Agustin. She garnered critical acclaim for her performance in this series where she portrayed the role of a woman five years her senior.
