Sandara Park

Park Sandara or Sandara Park (Korean: 박산다라, Hanja: 朴-, born November 12, 1984 in Busan, South Korea) is a television personality who is also called "Dara" as one of the vocal members of Korean Girl Group 2NE1. She is a former Korean expatriate who once starred in movies and television shows in the Philippines. Her unusual three-syllable Korean name, which she has talked about numerous times during interviews, comes from that of a Korean general, Kim Yushin, whose childhood name was "Sandara (산다라)".

During one of her school functions, Sandara Park met Pauleen Luna, who was then a talent of ABS-CBN Channel 2 Talent Center. Luna encouraged the shy Sandara Park to audition for Star Circle Quest, a then-up-and-coming reality talent search for ABS-CBN.

Sandara Park became a member of ABS-CBN's elite circle of homegrown talents, properly named Star Magic. ABS-CBN showered Sandara Park with projects after her Star Circle Quest days. She had six local commercial endorsements for personal care and food products. She also received several television show offers. She starred in a youth-oriented program SCQ Reload, OK Ako, and hosted "Sandara's Romance", a show featuring Korean dramas and commentary. She also had a hosting stint on ASAP Fanatic, a Sunday noontime teen variety show. She also appeared in a local daily primetime superhero soap opera, Krystala, as Kim, who shared similarities with her real-life self, but her tight schedule limited her appearances.

Sandara Park left the Philippines and returned to South Korea on August 1, 2007 with her mother and siblings to begin a new life. The next day, August 2, 2007, YG Entertainment reported that they had signed a contract with Sandara[6]. As a new member of the YG family, she joined popular Korean artists and bands such as Big Bang, Se7en, Jinusean, Lexy, and 1TYM. Sandara has made an appearance in Gummy's Music Video for the song "I'm Sorry (feat. T.O.P of Big Bang)" as the partner of T.O.P.

2NE1 was much anticipated by the fans of YG Entertainment. Before their debut, YG Entertainment had put up numerous videos of the members, Sandara Park, Park Bom, CL, and Gong Minji during practice, and they became well-known as the Female Big Bang. News of the "Female Big Bang" even became highly anticipated overseas, and their fans began to grow. Then, on March 27, 2009, 2NE1 was featured in a commercial for the LG phone Lollipop with Big Bang. 2NE1 gained popularity both through the commercial and the music video of the song "Lollipop" and their debut became a hot topic. On May 6, 2009, two versions of their debut song "Fire"'s Music Video were released. 2NE1 performed their debut stage on May 17th on SBS Inkigayo. Their song "Fire" topped charts for weeks, and 2NE1 hit the top spot again with their song "I Don't Care" from their first mini-album. The song was released on July 1, 2009 and hit number one on the charts the same day.

Sandara Park is known for her stage name Dara.

Marian Rivera as Darna

Darna is a fictional character and superheroine created by Filipino komiks (Philippine colloquial term for comics) legend Mars Ravelo. In her more popular incarnations, she is a warrior from outer space manifesting herself through a girl from Earth, named Narda.

GMA Network announced that the new styled Darna would be a mirror to Marian Rivera's personality, possibly featuring more comedy flavor into the drama plot. Rivera will also undergo mental and physical trainings. Also, Galvante confirmed that Captain Barbell, another Mars Ravelo's creation, is going to be shown in the series.

Marian Rivera will be starting her fighting routines with a an expert on May 17, 2009. Unfortunately, it was postponed due to conflicts on schedule. She will also be soon trained on harness.

GMA Network, along with the Ravelo's copyright holders of the character, has unanimously chosen Marian Rivera as Darna. It was said by Wilma Galvante, the SVP for Entertainment TV, in an interview that the new Darna should be a real star because it is a prime role. The Ravelo's said in an interview that Marian Rivera is the sexiest and most beautiful actress to play Darna.

Two actors are considered for the role of the leading man. They were Mark Herras and Mark Anthony Fernandez but it was the latter who's more vibrant.

Carla Abellana

Carla Abellana who was born as Carla Angelene Reyes Abellana on June 12, 1986 at Manila, Philippines is a Filipina actress and commercial model who will be playing the lead role in the Filipino adaptation of the Mexican telenovela, Rosalinda. Rosalinda will air on GMA Network this July 13, 2009. Carla Abellana went to O.B. Montessori Center in Greenhills from Pre-school to High School. Carla Abellana majored in Psychology at De La Salle University in Manila and graduated Cum Laude.

Carla Abellana's first major project on television is her title role project with GMA Network, the Philippine remake of Mexican telenovela, Rosalinda where she portrays the lead role. Carla Abellana will be paired with Geoff Eigenmann, playing Fernando Jose to be her love interest in the series. The series is directed by prominent Philippine directors, Maryo J. delos Reyes and Gil Tejada. Coming this July 13, 2009 on GMA7 Primetime.

Alex Gonzaga

Catherine Cruz Gonzaga was born January 16, 1988. She is also known as Cathy Gonzaga, is a Filipina actress. She is the sister of Toni Gonzaga. In 2008, she officially changed her screen name to Alex Gonzaga.

She is best known for her role as Alex, the "artistahin" fashionista in ABS-CBN's sitcom Let's Go and Go Kada Go. She is also very well known for her role in 'My Girl' as Christine.

Alex Gonzaga is a member of ABS-CBN's circle of homegrown talents named Star Magic.

Alex Gonzaga starred in the Philippine remake of My Girl and host of Juicy of TV 5.
